How will the Cuckoo acquisition affect me as a business customer?

What is happening?

Giganet have acquired consumer broadband brand, Cuckoo. As the rollout of full fibre accelerates over the next few years, together we are shaking up the UK broadband market by prioritising service and customer experience. It’s two companies combining forces to deliver increased excellence.

Will my business product change?

Not unless you make that request to change. The acquisition of Cuckoo implies a partnership on the residential side of the business. In terms of what you are familiar with, we remain the same with ‘Giganet’ still serving you.

Will the price change?

No. We made a promise to you when you partnered with us, and when we promise something, we stick to those promises, so there is nothing to worry about here. If you do wish to add services, the Business account team will be clear and transparent on the charges you will pay and, again, our promises would be the same in this circumstance.

Will there be a break in my service? Will I experience any downtime?

Absolutely not – this is a partnership on the residential side of our business. The product and services you enjoy will still be delivered in the same way and ‘Giganet’ and the teams you are familiar with, will still be the brand and the people that you deal with.

What does this mean for me as a business customer?

There is no change. Your business product and pricing will stay the same just as we promised. Our stellar service and your SLA remain the same, as do the terms we agreed, with your dedicated account team on hand as usual should you need to contact us.

I would like to join Giganet as a residential customer – what do I do?

We would love to have you on board, and everyone can still check their postcode and availability on our website. If we have a presence where you live, simply choose the most suitable residential package. If not, register your interest as our reach extends regularly.

Who are Cuckoo?

Combining forces enables us to grow to millions of residential customers over the next few years (as we know this is the key period of change for UK broadband).

When is it happening?

Over the coming months we will start to merge residential teams, combining the strengths of both.
